Feminist Art Practices and Research
The upcoming journal Feminist Art Practices and Research: Cosmos is seeking submissions for its inaugural 2025 issue. This edition aims to explore innovative perspectives on feminist art and academic publishing.
Contributors are invited to consider how a journal dedicated to feminist art and research can promote dialogical approaches foundational to feminist ecology and cosmology. Topics of interest include current urgencies and challenges, the role of solidarity, the transformative benefits of Indigenous and/or Black feminism, and the intersections with queer or trans theories and methods. Submissions that explore the collaborative and collective potential of Cosmos as an intellectual forum are welcome.
Cosmos welcomes a range of contribution formats that foster innovative dialogic and collaborative approaches and experimental transdisciplinary modes of communication reflective of the multiplicity of feminisms within the arts including:
- Research articles of 8,000-10,000 words including footnotes and references
- Provocations: intellectual critical engagement with current events of 2,000-4,000 words
- Creative responses: audio/video/visual/interactive essays of 2,000-3,000 words of a critical supporting statement and 5-15 minutes video or audio or 5-15 images
- Pedagogies in the arts including submissions of teaching material of 2,000-8,000 words
- Constellations: Writing to/from (correspondence and/or collaborative writing) to reimagine the epistolary form and its rich tradition in feminist politics of 2,000-4,000 words.
The Contribution has to be submitted through the Taylor&Francis submission portal by March 30. You can find further instructions under this link.
